St. Louis White Christmas Expected 24 Hours Late

St. Louis could experience a white Christmas after all, just not in the traditional sense with the snow arriving Christmas Eve and blanketing the ground in time for St. Nick's visit.

Instead, the white stuff is expected to begin late on Christmas Day (Tuesday) and last into Wednesday morning.

The National Weather Service warns that metro St. Louis will likely experience two to four inches of accumulation by December 26. The forecast through the end of the week calls for temperatures never to eclipse the mid-30s, meaning the snow -- if it comes -- could last awhile.
