Photos: Lambert Airport's "Dramatic Makeover" Will Take Five Months, Add New Retail

Probably the worst international airport in the US. Maybe start by fixing the leaky cielings? Long list.

Start over! There are too many improvements to list. If starting over isn't possible then I'd start by cleaning/renovating the bathrooms. They're the nastiest of any airport I've been in.

It would take a lot to improve Lambert. The only thing it has going for it is location, so easy to get to. I would improve the Metrolink stations to where they are indoors and have better connections to the terminals. No better way to be welcomed to Metrolink then sit in the humid weather or cold temps. Add more parking on-site. Have a covered passenger drop-off and pick up at the main terminal Renovate the main terminal to open it up and provide more space. Create one efficient security check-point for the main terminal, even though they improved the security it still sucks. Terminal 2 also needs a large security check point, it becomes a bottleneck and there is not much space to improve. Find better locations for airport lounges, so they can be nicer and larger. More public art to help welcome passengers.Maybe even a better display of Saint Louis' Aviation history. Maybe an even closer on site airport hotel, would help business.

Open a casino in the unused terminal.

Let's start with a simple request ... I would offer Gateway Arch souvenirs. Shocked to not be able to find anything with an "Arch" on it in the stores in the East terminal this week. I think visitors would want to take home a little piece of St. Louis.

I've only been to a few airport, but Lambert by far is the most confusing..ie: you look at the map to find a smoking area...go to where it is...Oh, they don't have them anymore. A friend of mine came here, couldn't find a cab to save his life...wth??
