Finally.

This morning, the St. Louis Cardinals officially broke ground -- shovels and all! -- on the much-anticipated, much delayed development of Ballpark Village, the mixed-use seven-block project just north of Busch Stadium.

The Cardinals, working with development partner Cordish Companies, say construction of the ten-acre site will start with a $100 million phase that includes an Anheuser-Busch-sponsored venue and a three-story building with the Cardinals Hall of Fame Museum and a restaurant.
