St. Louis Tea Party Original Gina Loudon on ABC's Wife Swap

Gina Loudon was there at the foot of the Gateway Arch when the St. Louis Tea Party held its first demonstration back in February 2009. She went on to gain national fame for organizing a Buycott of Arizona products in support of the state's controversial immigration laws. She even got her own radio show as "Dr. Gina Loudon.".

And now the good doctor (she apparently has a PhD in a "psychologically related field") has landed a gig on reality TV. Because, let's face it, what else is there for Loudon to accomplish? That's right television fans, set your DVR to ABC tonight when Loudon trades places with a free-lovin' woman in Wife Swap.

Yep, it's about to get real uncomfortable in the conservative Loudon house, which, btw, is no longer in St. Louis. Gina and her husband, former Missouri State Senator John Loudon, now call San Diego home.

In tonight's episode of Wife Swap, Loudon trades places with the wife of a semi-professional wrestler from New York who shares a live-in girlfriend with his wife. Kinky!!! The following recap comes courtesy of tv.broadwayworld.com:

When Gina first arrives in Charleston, she meets Ashley (the girlfriend) and learns that she'll be living with a polyamorous couple. With her conservative views and strong religious convictions, Gina finds the relationship "wrong" and is very uncomfortable with the situation. Tensions rise between Gina and Chris after he and Ashley take Gina out one night for drinks at a local bar. With the alcohol flowing, Gina begins to let her guard down and starts sharing her true feelings about the relationship between Chris, Angela and Ashley, as well as her stance on myriad controversial topics. The evening peaks Chris' interest to look into Gina's background -- and what he finds prompts Chris to confront her, sparking an even larger confrontation.

What kind of Senator goes on a show like that? The wife of the Poly. couple had so much class to bite her tongue as Loudon babbled on low class comments to her. What kind of "Christian" man talks to a woman like this? He's greasy and sickening. She's over tanned and cheap. They are a disgrace. Also, take a look at the scrapbook scene where the girl is showing Gina the scrapbook. The little girl comes to the table and takes something out of the box to partake in what the women are doing and Gina gives her an evil "no" headshake. This woman is as mean as it gets. Someone ship them back to the planet they came from. Also, just a headsup, don't try to post anything on their page. Every comment adverse to their opinion is being deleted. Pathetic.

I had the, errr... 'pleasure' of living a few doors down from these lovely people before they (thankfully) became SoCal's problem. They are exactly as they were portrayed on Wife Swap (tho' Gina is NO 'Celebrity', a media-ho perhaps, infamous to be sure, but definitely not famous by celeb standards, no matter how much they want this status), thus no tricky production editing required. John would walk into our home without knocking, smiling, and look around, making odd comments about extraneous objects in our home. I guess he thought being a state rep gave him entry rights or something. Gina was the nicest, sweetest, most superficial vapid woman you'll ever meet. Very strange couple, even for bagger standards. I must say, their kids were very kind, sweet, well mannered, and I often felt quite bad for them & their home situation Adults teaching intolerance (hate) to innocents, IMO is a form of child abuse, or at the very least intellectual neglect. As a frequent traveler to SanD, they couldn't have picked a better place to get served a bite of reality, which unfortunately they wouldn't get much of here in MO. Sympathies to the Envy family, I know exactly how they felt. If living next to us for a few years didn't open their minds up, no one could, not even "God" him/her/it self.

She (Loudon) is as fake as her husband! They ran from Missouri with this Senate unemployment in hand to become fame whores in California. Exploit for a buck!--that's the American way for Republicans. It's all about the $$$.  Don't give these two attention or we will never see the end of them! They'll parade their family on every reality show they can get their hands on. Pathetic.

@gardenflowers13

Hey I'm originally from STL but live in San Diego now.  You can have the Loudons back.  They are an embarrassment to me and are NOT reflective of the people here in San Diego.  What's more, is that they took the path of fame of agreeing to be on the show, and yet, when things didn't go their way, they didn't live up to their end of the deal by getting their lawyer involved and not agreeing to the round table discussion at the end of the show.  Now, as a fellow Christian, I think Jesus would have wanted them to "finish what they started."  Apostle Paul also talks about staying the course, but obviously the Loudons conveniently skipped that part in the Bible.   I will pray for them that they have a wake up call and that God softens their so obvious militant hearts.  After all, I don't think that kind of attitude is welcome in Heaven.
