Police say that Thimmig was a resident at the Oak Tree Village, a retirement living community. There aren't many details about the two, but news reports say they were friends.
An obituary for Thimmig describes her as a companion of Gemienhart and says that she served in the United States Marine Corps and was a member of the Marine Corps League for many years.
