College Hill Shooting: Victim Found In Alley Says He Threw Someone Out Of A Window
He had previously thrown someone out of a window -- and was shot last night in retaliation, he allegedly told cops.
The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, which has faced an unusually challenging and violent week, is now investigating an early-morning College Hill incident that left a 58-year-old man badly injured in an alleyway.

Cops say they found the victim on the 3800 block of West Florissant Avenue in the College Hill neighborhood at about 4:30 a.m.
When they arrived, he was "lying face down in the street of the alley," police say.
He was bleeding from his torso and lower body and was taken to the hospital where he was treated for gunshot wounds to both legs, his arm and groin. The department says he is in serious but stable condition.
Why was he shot?
"The victim stated that approximately a month ago, he threw someone out of a window and the shooting was in retaliation," the police report says. "He did not elaborate any further."
Police have not released any details about a possible suspect.
This shooting took place in a neighborhood where there has been a high rate of violence in recent months and a concerted effort by the department to curb it.

He was conveyed to a local hospital where he was treated for gunshots wounds to both legs, his arm and groin and listed in serious/stable condition. The victim stated that approximately a month ago, he threw someone out of a window and the shooting was in retaliation. He did not elaborate any further. The investigation is ongoing.
