Stop looking at those defending their property and self-defense as an excuse for gun control. Look to the gangs and criminals. Make them accountable for using guns. Lock them away for a long time for crimes committed with a gun. A long, long time.

I'm pro-2nd Amendment but if you really believe that everyone having a gun on them at all times will eliminate crime you are either very naive or you are bought and paid for by the gun lobby.

If everyone has a gun...confrontations are more likely. Having more guns does nothing to address the problem of illegal guns.

if everyone has a gun...the crooks wont have anyone to victimize......

More guns equal more confrontations with guns. This is not rocket science.

if everybody had a gun they could have shot and killed each other but then what would the media have to talk about for weeks on end

Complete and utter horseshit.  As if the situation wouldn't have turned violent if Zimmerman had been carrying a different weapon like a knife or none at all, in which case Zimmerman may have been the one to be killed by combination of Trayvon's fists and a concrete sidewalk.  Clay is another classic example of a black leader looking for an excuse as to why events like these are all too common within the black community.  It isn't guns.  It isn't racism.  It isn't lack of opportunity or education.  It's about culture and perception and repeated demonstration of disrespect for the rule of law.  People of all races and ethnicities, including african-americans, are sick and tired of being willing victims restricted by a justice system that favors criminals and are fighting back.  "Castle Doctrine", "Stand Your Ground", and "No Duty to Retreat" laws are the first and correct step in addtion to concealed carry nationwide to making our streets safer and making criminals take notice.  It is no mistake that the top 10 states with the most restrictive gun laws have triple the murders of all the other states combined (http://www.examiner.com/article/exclusive-states-with-toughest-gun-laws-have-triple-the-amount-of-gun-deaths).
