A late-night shooting near Laclede's Landing and the Gateway Arch left one man dead and another woman seriously injured over the weekend.

Police say that Desmond Adair, a 21-year-old male, was shot in the neck near Washington Avenue and 3rd Street at around 12:45 a.m. Saturday morning and died a short while later at the hospital.

A 23-year-old woman was hit in the arm and taken to the hospital in serious, but stable condition.

Police say the investigation revealed that the victims had been traveling in the area around the 400 block of Memorial Drive when unknown suspects in a dark-colored sedan began firing shots at them. The victims' vehicle struck a light pole during the incident, police say. The two apparently managed to get themselves to the hospital.

Simply driving down the street, in a tourist section of the city, will yield you bullets and death in St. Louis.

again, i was only wondering where the NRA comes into play on the advocation of gun violence.

And you yourself are not an NRA member so...

oh, maybe it was your comment above "NRA Sheep commenting in 3, 2... I was only stating that aligning illegal firearm activity with the actions of law abiding citizens is ridiculous. I have never once see the NRA hold a favorable stance towards illegal gun violence. If i missed them doing so, please show me, otherwise your comment is both ridiculous and unnecessary.

And who is attacking anybody? You seem paranoid, GOOD JOB! I am not anti-gun, why do you assume that? Strange paranoid group here.

Jeff, i do not condone the act represented in this story. I also condemn the thought that this illegal activity is being aligned with legal gun owners by the opinions of people who don't have a favorable opinion of guns for whatever reason. I am not an NRA member, but I do believe in the right of self defense. I believe in your right to have an opinion agains guns as well. That being said, it is both ignorant and childish to attack the point of view of people who legally own guns after an act of illegal violence takes place. Good job!

you notice how it's always liberals that are the first ones to say "here come the racists" or "here come the gun nuts". that says more about you, than it does those other people.
