Hey, St. Louis, You're a Beautiful, Incredible City No Matter What

Remember last night's game? Neither do we. There was, um...baseball? Something? We're not sure what you're referring to.

Anyway! For no reason at all (it's not like we're trying to mellow the effects of the impending smack-talk here), here are a whole bunch of videos to make you feel awesome about St. Louis and about being a St. Louisan. This town rocks. Rocks your Sox off.

I personally hate breathing the airborne fecal matter because the city has such a poor sewage system

Car break-ins happen in every part of St. Louis. I live in south county and our car has been stolen and broken into. Crimes occur every where and in every city. Obviously the higher the population in an area (city) crime rates rise

Watching the Duckboat parade in Boston. This was a GREAT series. The way a World Series is supposed to happen. The two BEST teams played each other. Thank you St. Louis Cardnials, and fans it was WICKED EXCELLENT!!!

Guess ive learned to hate it, lived 15 minutes away from downtown my whole life. Lost a paid off car, and had others broken into countless times. Like i said, have learned to hate it :)

I don't like any of those things, and I've been a very happy resident of the Downtown neighborhood for almost two years.

St.louis city is a dump. We have a river that no one even looks at unless there is a body floating down from north st.louis. Go to chicago or Indy and look at their downtown and then come back to STL and look at the mess we have. The only reason there is anything left downtown is because of Busch Stadium and if the Rams were smart they would build a new stadium in Fenton or Earth City.

Wow this really got your panties twisted into a bunch didn't it? If you read the thread I'm not the only one who feels this way. And yes, I am well informed of the "face lift". That only bolsters my argument since they are doing something to the sad looking riverfront. Thank you for pointing that out that my comment is not inaccurate. So next time you want to resort to name calling why don't you get yourself out of the bottom of your cup of Budweiser and think about what you are saying.

I sure do. Chicago. Memphis. Cincy. Pittsburg. Even Cleveland. Don't take it personally Sherri. The idea is make it the best it can be.

Losing is easy to deal with in a lost cause of a city

True the riverfront is ugly, but, I guess it wouldn't make much sense to invest in a special project as long as the river continues to rise and lots of damage is caused due to flooding ;-)

Depressing shot of the city/riverfront. If I weren't from STL, I'd think it's a sad city judging by the riverfront photos. Get past that though and the city is a gem! So much to love about it!

Michael, I've lived in the city since 2008 and none of those things have happened to me. I also attend my monthly neighborhood watch meetings and know the names and numbers of the officers assigned to my district. You can be part of the problem or part of the solution. Your choice.

I live here. I can say it. It needs improvement.

Great city if you want to get robbed, mugged, raped, held up at gun point and return to your car with smashed windows on cinder blocks. Call the police and they will do absolutely NOTHING. They are a part of the problem. Not a part of the solution.

That is the ugliest riverfront of any major city.
