6 Local Urban Explorers You Should Be Following On Instagram

3. @michaelallen a.k.a. Michael Allen

Allen isn't really an "urban explorer" but he is a "architectural historian," an author and a lecturer. So naturally he finds himself often tromping through ancient and abandoned structures for clients and for his work for the Preservation Research Office. His online bio says that he researches "the impact of deindustrialization, population loss and postwar urban renewal projects on the preservation of historic urban landscapes." And luckily, through his Instagram, he takes us along for the ride.

Cool places but I'm not that impressed with the photographs they shot. I could shoot those with my I-Phone.

@brontchie I'm sure there were quite a few missed. I would love to have more St. Louisans to follow on Instagram.
