Wanna party here? Put some sleeves on and pull your pants up.
No jerseys. No hats. No backpacks. Or else it's no Ballpark Village for you.

The long-awaited entertainment district -- which some are adorably calling St. Louis' new living room -- opens this week and, in preparation, released its very strict post-9 p.m. dress code online.

Ballpark Village as a whole doesn't technically have a dress code, although backpacks and professional photography equipment are prohibited. But eight of the village's restaurants and clubs, including the Budweiser Brew House and FOX Sports Midwest Live!, set their own late-night sartorial standards.

Despite being across the street from Busch Stadium, jerseys are a big no-no at Ballpark Village, according to the dress code. Jerseys are only allowed "in conjunction with a Cardinals game or any other major St. Louis sporting event," according to the Ballpark Village website.

So unless it's Game Day, put the Wacha jersey away. That goes double for basketball jerseys, which fall under the ban on sleeveless shirts for men.

The award for Most Specific Dress Code Rule goes to the Budweiser Brew House, a three-level restaurant with 239 taps and a rooftop patio, where hats are forbidden on the second level. There's no exception for ball caps on game days.

Apparently, Ballpark Village's night managers are also particularly worried about "excessively long shirts," exhaustively defined on the village's website as "when standing upright with arms at your side, the bottom of your shirt can not extend below the tip of your fingers."
