Before the Cardinals take the field in St. Louis for the first time this season, the long-awaited, $100 million restaurant/entertainment district bordering Busch Stadium will officially open with six days of watch parties, grand openings and a free concert featuring Third Eye Blind.

"While we are still finalizing exact details, we want fans to circle some important dates," says Bill DeWitt III, president of the Cardinals. "We are excited for everyone to finally see and experience everything that Ballpark Village has to offer."

How about some local bands and some musicians that actually sound good and support the Cardinals? I like Third Eye Blind on cd but the last time I heard them in person at the Washington Town & Country Fair they really stunk. Maybe it was just their sound man.........

I don't care if it brings in Justin bieber and every douchebag friend he has - it's going to bring in much needed money to the city.

One of the only places, maybe the only place, like this in the country and you people find something to bitch about. Amazing. It's new and brings people to downtown. That's better than 98% of the other buildings in downtown.

I'm glad they put up a second sign that says Cardinal nation because I'm sure the giant stadium across the street wouldn't have given people the idea
