Robber Shoots Teen in Both Hands After Hold-Up
St. Louis Metropolitan Police are investigating the robbery and assault that occurred around 11:45 p.m. Sunday near Thrush and Lillian avenues, in Walnut Park East.
The teen told police he was walking south on Thrush Avenue when the robber flourished a gun, took everything he had and shot him in both hands. The teen escaped to a hospital, where he called police, according to police reports.
Police describe the suspect as 21 or 22 years old, between 6'1" and 6'2", between 170 and 180 pounds and wearing a blue baseball cap and red Cardinals jacket.

The victim stated that while walking south on Thrush toward Lillian, he was approached by the suspect, who flourished a firearm and demanded that the victim give him everything he had. The victim complied and after handing the suspect his belongings, the suspect shot the victim in both hands. The victim fled the scene and responded to an area hospital before contacting this department. The investigation is ongoing.
