650k against 37 billion for decimating an ecosystem?? That's barely a slap on the wrist! If an individual did this it would be financial hell, as well as jail time. Its about time we upgraded our corporate punishments to a level that actually stings. Most of these companies routinely break laws and pay the fines. The fines are so small in comparison they can chalk it up to the cost of doing business

How about prison sentences for murdering an entire ecosystem

Their fine should equal the amount it will cost to clean and re-establish the creek's viability....and nothing less.
