Jon Hamm, St. Louis Cardinals' Most Handsome Fan, Gets His Own Bobblehead
In a marketing move worthy of Don Draper in Mad Men, the St. Louis Cardinals announced that famous actor and lifelong fan Jon Hamm will get his own theme night at Busch Stadium this summer.
Cardinals Jon Hamm makes a handsome bobblehead.
Hamm, who grew up in St. Louis and graduated from John Burroughs High School, gave interview after interview after interview about his love for Cardinals baseball -- especially acrobatic shortstop Ozzie Smith -- in the lead-up to his Disney flick Million Dollar Arm, where Hamm recruits pitchers from a pool of cricket players in India.
"Jon Hamm is one of the greatest ambassadors for Cardinals baseball," says Dan Farrell, Senior Vice President of marketing for the Redbirds. "Whether he's photographed walking down the street in his lucky Cardinals cap, or talking up the team on late night television, he's one of our biggest fans."
Hamm gets his very own Cardinals celebration, complete with a very handsome bobblehead, at the August 18 game against the Cincinnati Reds. He'll also throw out the first pitch and meet-and-greet with VIP ticket holders in "what I hope will be a fantastic night for everyone but the Reds," Hamm says.
Here's the entire bobblehead. Note the casual jeans, pushed-up sleeves and "I'm just here for the game" attitude:
