Milwaukee Brewers' All-Star Game Ad Proves Everyone is Jealous of the St. Louis Cardinals

Don't take it personally, Yadi. Everyone's just jealous.
The Milwaukee Brewers just can't take it anymore.

After five consecutive years of watching St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina win a spot on the National League All-Star roster, Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy is fighting back in a mudslinging video worthy of a political campaign:

"Do you want another St. Louis Cardinals catcher to star in an All-Star game? Isn't there a better way?" the ad says while the sound of a baby crying plays over footage of Molina. "Cast a ballot for change. Cardinals fans need to know that enough is enough."

The spot is actually pretty hilarious, especially because Molina's strong and early lead in this year's All-Star voting is leaving Cardinals fans pretty confident their favorite catcher will maintain his hegemony.

As of Sunday, Molina earned the second-most votes in the entire National League, leading San Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey with just over 2 million votes. Lucroy ranks third with more than 1.1 million votes.

But with the game only a month away, Lucroy isn't going down without a fight. Not only does he make a quickie cameo in his All-Star ad shaking his head at the Cardinals, he also adds his support in true political fashion: "I'm Jonathan Lucroy, and I approve this message."

So good for you, Lucroy. Cute video. And now, if you'll excuse us, we're going to go vote for Molina for 2014 National League All-Star catcher.

You mean the fact that Lucroy is having a better year and that "attack ad" is for the All-Star game this year?

Awww. Poor little guy needs a hug. Yadi reminds me of the James Bond theme song "Nobody Does It Better".

Funny how "the best" stories of the week at RFT are always the ones that don't interest me enough to read them. There is a message there...

Sorry buddy, but you are like Phil Mickelson in the era of Tiger Woods. You're great. Probably the best in the league, but unfortunately there is one that will always be better. Don't take it personally, but when you have a legendary player groomed by an all time great for a team and now coaches that team, that's hard to beat. Three words. Yadi fucking rules.

Keep talking the brewers will fall apart. No post season experience. Nothing at all. We will take over first before the season is over. I know it

All this made me do is go vote for Molina as many times as I could and I probably wouldn't have even bothered to vote otherwise so take that Milwaukee.

Lucroy has got to admit he's good but the not the best. Fight it out on the field, not in the media. SO SAD.

YADI is the best but not having as great of a year as normal. Career numbers without a doubt is all YADI but all star game is about the year you are having now. It was a humorous video and actually gives credit to Yadi's greatness and how good the cardinals are by being considered as the status quo. Plus it was funny.

At a late-summer game against the Brewers at Busch in 2013, two jerk Brewers fans got liquored up and started taunting the entire section they were sitting in -- I repeatedly told them they were just asking for an epic slapdown from the Baseball Gods, and they kept replying that the Cardinals sucked, La Russa sucked, the Cardinals weren't going to make the playoffs, the Brewers were going to win the Series, blah blah de blah. We tried to tell them that crap won't wash off, but they wouldn't listen.

Seriously, that ad is genius.  Almost as good as the Kia World Cup commericals.  Ok, no, those are uber genius.  But the Brewers ad is a hoot.
