In this week's review I take a look at a new restaurant that specializes in one of the world's great "fast" foods, pho.
The review mentions two of my favorite food books of the past few years: Eric Schlosser's Fast Food Nation (now, improbably, a major motion picture) and Michael Pollan's The Omnivore's Dilemma. The latter is especially impressive. I mean, I didn't need that much convincing that the fast-food industry maybe doesn't have my best interests at heart, The Omnivore's Dilemma got me thinking about my relationship with freakin' Whole Foods.
