Still Wondering About Binions

A couple of months ago I reported on a new restaurant at 5917 Delmar Boulevard, former haunt of Lifestyles Cafe and Happy Taco.

The sign outside the restaurant (pictured in that crappy camera-phone photo to the right) says the restaurant will be called Binions. (It's "Your Contemporary Restaurant," apparently.) Not much was going on inside when I stopped by in June, and not much was going on inside when I stopped by today. Some work has been done -- there's a bar and what looks like the wall separating the kitchen from the dining room -- but no one was working there today.

At any rate, I still have no idea what the story on this place is. Anyone?
