Sorry for the late notice on this, but if you have time Sunday, stop by Congregation Shaare Emeth (11645 Ladue Road) for "You Take the Cake," a silent auction of desserts from local chefs to benefit the Amyotropic Lateral Scleroris (ALS) division of the local Muscular Dystrophy Association. "You Take the Cake" is in honor of local pastry chef Marla Scissors, who was diagnosed with ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease) last year. The event runs from 3-5 p.m. tomorrow; adult admission begins at $10.
