Basil Spice Thai Cuisine will open at 3183 South Grand Boulevard (roughly halfway between Pho Grand and the King and I) on Monday, March 3, according to the banner hung outside the restaurant. The restaurant will be open daily from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. for lunch and from 5-9:30 p.m. for dinner.

They also us St. Louis City dumpsters for their restaurant waste instead of providing for adequate waste removal contracted with a private waste hauler as required by law.

We contract for our waste removal and with Veolia Environmental Services and try to be considerate of all of our neighbors. You don't have it emptied frequently enough. Your employees drop trash on the way to the dumpsters and do not pick it up. Photographs of your trash in city dumpsters and employees placing restaurant waste in residential dumpster have been forwarded to the police and the refuse division.
