Basil Spice Thai Cuisine

• First of all the restaurant is wonderful. Second.. I had dinner there last night & came back for lunch today, hoping to meet someone I thought was a waitress, but I found out, I think, she is the owner. Is she or are you married? Thanks :D

• Basil owner I have watched your employees "hide" trash in city residential dumpsters as soon as your commercial dumpster is full. You don't have it emptied frequently enough. Your employees drop trash on the way to the dumpsters and do not pick it up. Photographs of your trash in city dumpsters and employees placing restaurant waste in residential dumpster have been forwarded to the police and the refuse division.

• Basil Spice is awesome! I haven't had a good Thai soup since moving from Boston ten years ago.

• Dear Basil Neighbor, You might consider checking your information with us before posting this misleading and factually incorrect information. We contract for our waste removal and with Veolia Environmental Services and try to be considerate of all of our neighbors. If you have a concern, please feel free to come and talk to us anytime or verify with the building owner.

• Too bad this restaurant doesn't respect any of their neighbors or the law. They subject neighbors to garbage strewn along walkways and in the alleys. They also us St. Louis City dumpsters for their restaurant waste instead of providing for adequate waste removal contracted with a private waste hauler as required by law.

• This is a really wonderful restaurant! The food is outstanding, flavorful and fresh, and the ambience is casual and friendly. Our new favorite place, definitely worth a try.

• I remember when Mekong opened...and King and I. Growing up, that section of Grand was pretty much dying until the Thai and Vietnamese came to St. Louis and settled there.

• It's like a game down there: How many Asian restaurants can we fit into the smallest space possible?
