Local favorite Harvest (1059 South Big Bend Boulevard) is offering a new three-course prix-fixe menu Tue.-Thu. You choose a salad, an entrée and a dessert for $30. You can see the latest menu from Stephen Gontram and his executive chef Nicholas Miller right here.
While reading that menu, I noticed this tidbit:
We are now officially the first restaurant in the St. Louis area to convert to Wind Power. It costs a bit more (we don’t know why…isn’t wind pretty cheap?), but we think it’s worthwhile. We are also donating all of our used cooking oils to the St. Louis Bio-Diesel Club, helping to promote the science of alternative automotive fuels.
Very cool.

Are they though?
Pi carbon offsets. They're far and away the greenest restaurant in St. Louis. I assume the Harvest wind-power is also carbon offsets, so it would just depend on when they started doing it.
Either way though, it's definitely cool.
