Harry's Restaurant Announces New Executive Chef Rene Cruz
René Cruz has been named the new executive chef at Harry's Restaurant and Bar. Chef Cruz moved to St. Louis from the Chicago, Illinois, area, where he worked as a sous chef for Keywester Fish and Pasta and Hemingway's Bar of The Portillos Restaurant Group - the Midwest's largest privately owned restaurant group.
As a chef for the past 12 years, Chef Cruz's love of food can be traced back to his mother's kitchen where he witnessed the preparation of great dishes and their wonderful aromas. "It is imperative to keep my eyes open to what is happening in the food world so I can stay on the cutting edge of the evolution of cuisine," says Cruz. "I love seeing the smiles on my guestsÆ faces knowing that what they ate made them happy."
Harry's Restaurant and Bar is a cornerstone of the Downtown St. Louis restaurant scene.
