FoodWire: Kiss Beso Goodbye?

Beso Mexican Grill & Cantina (1130 Washington Avenue) appears to be a) undergoing a serious remodel or b) closed for good. The interior looks as if it is being gutted, and the phone number has been disconnected. A poster on the always helpful UrbanSTL message board reports seeing kitchen equipment and other items being hauled out of the restaurant this weekend.
This would be the second failed venture in this spot; Red closed at the beginning of the year.
Red was the subject of a March story, "Seeing Red: partners battle over a Wash. Ave. eatery's ownership."
More as I learn it.
