FoodWire: Some J. Buck's No Longer J. Buck's

foodwire1.JPG I've received a couple of reader e-mails noting the strange goings-on at some of the area's J. Buck's: signage disappearing, menus without the restaurant's name. This article from the Belleville News-Democrat does a nice job of summing up what's happening: The Clayton and downtown J. Buck's will remain J. Buck's, with siblings Joe and Julie Buck owners. The article explains the deal:

The new arrangement cut the Fairview Heights restaurant and the ones in O'Fallon, Mo.; the Westfield Shopping Town in west St. Louis County; Bloomington, Ill., and Springfield, Mo., out of the new company.

These five locales remain under St. Louis-based WAG Restaurants' owner Ted Geiger, who opened the first J. Buck's in Clayton, Mo. in 1999.

The article notes that the Fairview Heights location will get a new name soon.
