In this week's Back of the House slideshow, photographer Jennifer Silverberg shows you the Good Pie, its pizzas and the very cool oven where those pies are baked.
We just ate lunch there. It's a nice place and everything was above average but the pizza. Great sauce, great ingredients, gummy crust. Since it was already burnt we didn't ask for it to be cooked more.
Overall the experience was a hair above average, but we are still looking for a better pizza so will not return. Interestingly, not three hours later we met someone who absolutely loves their pizza. When we mentioned the gummy crust he said they have a special method of cooking that's is hard to get right; they get it perfect half the time and gummy the other half. To him it's worth taking the chance. Not us.
