Today has a theme: The return of restaurants past! Though, unlike Chuy Arzola's, we knew all along that La Dolce Via (4470 Arco Avenue; Web site) would be returning. After a couple of months of renovations, the Forest Park Southeast bakery/coffeeshop/restaurant opens for brunch this Saturday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Never visited La Dolce Via? Let Gut Check guide you. Here's my review of its dinner service (yet to return), and last year we awarded it Best Sunday Brunch. If you need extra reason to visit, a year ago my colleague Aimee Levitt pointed out that brunch ain't gonna eat itself.
