FoodWire: The Map Room Now Open

• The Map Room is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful cafe I've ever known in my life.

• I have been there twice! Very laid back and great time to hang out with friends! Will be back can't wait till it gets warmer!

• This place is so quaint. Great coffee, inexpensive tasty wines and Yummy pastries, what's not to like!?!?! We hung out ont he couches and played games with a few friends. We can't wait to go back! I got really excited when talking with the owner Michelle about watching movies out on the patio this summer. She is such a doll and she's always there. You should try this place!!

• I've been there several times since they opened and the hot chocolate is the best I've ever tasted. The house-blend coffee is great and so is the Jameson's (which can be had with or without the coffee). When it warms up again, I'm going to try a pitcher of Sangria on the patio and a taxi home.

• I took my sisters here when they were in from out of town. They really enjoyed this place. Wish they served crackers instead of bread with their picnic baskets, or at least had that option. But overall very nice place. The Sangria's were my favorite..

• I have eaten at the Map Room. It is much better than "Cats." I want to eat there again and again.

• I have been to the Map Room quite a few times already - it is a wonderful place. The garden was opened last Sat - it is like a winery in the middle of the city. Can't wait until the movies start - an excellent place to gather with friends - I will be back !

• With the wonderful weather that we had this past weekend, the owners opened up the patio. We came and had a couple of bottles of wine with some friends and sat outside. It had a feeling of warm and friendly. The owners are such friendly people. Very attentive. I agree with the comment about the place being a winery in the middle of the city!! Going there cuts my travel time down by an hour than driving to Augusta or Herman! I can see sitting out on the patio this spring and summer sipping fabulous wine and munching on the cheese and sausage.

• The Map Room is like a winery in the middle of the city. The atmosphere is great and the wines, coffees, pastries and cheese trays are wonderful. I cna't wait to sit out in the patio area this summer.

• I've been in the Map Room a few times and I've ordered a different drink each time. I really didn't think coffee or hot chocolate could taste this good. It's incredible. A must "taste to believe" experience. What a great addition to the neighborhood - thanks!

• My husband had my 40th birthday party there and it was great! All of our friends and family loved this place. We will definately be back and our friends and family said the same. The Map Room isn't your typical coffee shop. I would encourage everyone to visit it once and when you do you will definately go back.
