This weekend, two-month-old Smoking Joe's Bar-Be-Que (1901 Washington Avenue) hosted a "Memphis in May Celebration." Freelance photographer Egan O'Keefe visited the event, and you can see a slideshow of her work.

(No photos of the "Best Booty" contest.)

Update: I'm told there are no photos of the "Best Booty" contest because no one entered it. (The contest, I mean.) So maybe a "Best (Pork) Butt" contest would have been a better idea.
