Foodwire: Bissinger's to Expand in CWE

​Bissinger's: A Chocolate Experience (32 Maryland Plaza; website) broke ground last week on an expansion of its existing dessert bar in the Central West End. The long-time St. Louis chocolatier expects to have the new space open by October 15, according to spokeswoman Jeannine Manning.

Manning says the added space will reduce the number of diners turned away on weekend nights, especially.

Other changes expected: an expanded wine selection, to be sold retail; more emphasis on savory-style chocolates; Wi-Fi for daytime Internet surfing; and a potential café-style menu to be offered in the afternoon.
