FoodWire: City Gourmet Now Open

City Grocers reopened today as City Gourmet (920 Olive Street). The downtown grocery store closed last week for a quick but thorough re-do, jettisoning the groceries in favor of prepared food and fast-casual fare, including a new burrito bar and stir-fry station.

It will be interesting to see how City Gourmet fares with Culinaria - A Schnucks Market now open and, in its initial week, at least, a big hit. City Gourmet might no longer be a grocery store, but Culinaria features prepared food and fast-casual fare, too.
