FoodWire: "Carnivorale" Dinner Monday, November 9

foodwire1.JPGMeat-lovers, rejoice: Wes Johnson and Brendan Noonan, currently of Eclipse and formerly of the Shaved Duck, are putting on a special meat-centric meal, Carnivorale. The seven-course dinner will take place on Monday, November 9, at Sol Lounge (4239 Lindell Boulevard). The cost is $125 per person, which includes tip and valet parking. Poached quail egg, duck-egg hollandaise, caviar, truffle, bacon croissant

Foie, scallop, red hot apple ring

Third
Cauliflower and pancetta tortellini in a coco-nib and veal consommé

Three Cheeks to the Wind: veal, halibut and pork-cheek napoleon

Fifth
Beef, Bone and Bug: braised short rib, bone marrow and crawfish boudin

Sixth
Venison liver pâté, potted duck rillet, kunik and persimmon preserve

Goat cheese and black cherry ice cream, sea salt beignet and duck-fat caramel
