Baan Thai Express, which opened this April at 711 Olive Street, has closed, according to posts on the Urban St. Louis message board. The restaurant's phone number is disconnected.
Baan Thai is the second short-lived restaurant at that address. Zaytoon, a casual Mediterranean restaurant, existed there not quite the entirety of 2008. Prior to that, as you might be able to make out from the Google Street View image above, the space was the Downtown Cantina.
