FoodWire: Mike Shannon's Steaks and Seafood Highway 40 Reopening Specials

​Downtown institution Mike Shannon's Steaks and Seafood (620 Market Street; website) is celebrating the reopening of Highway 40 -- I-64, if you're nasty -- by offering a special four-course menu for $40. The $40 prix-fixe menu is available for 40 days, from this past Monday, December 7, through Friday, January 15 (New Year's Eve excluded). If you want, you can "upgrade" your meal by adding a lobster cocktail and glass of champagne. The cost with the upgrade? You guessed it: $64. Call 314-421-1540 for reservations or more info.
