On Saturday afternoon, the
Saint Louis Brewery, maker of Schlafly beer, celebrated its
18th birthday party by selling beer at 1991 prices -- about $3 a pint. Bargain-swill it ain't, but Schlafly drinkers still flocked to the Tap Room downtown for the occasion.

Photographer Nick Schnelle was also there and asked drinkers what they remembered about their own 18th birthdays. The lowered beer prices help loosen a few lips.
