Downtown casual joint 10th Street Italian (504 North 10th Street; website) appears to have closed -- temporarily, at the very least, and possibly for good. Word began to circulate on the Post-Dispatch's Eat at Joe's forum today. I drove by this afternoon, and the windows have been covered over with paper. The phone number remains active as of now, and I left a message. I'll let you know if I learn any more details.10th Street Italian received a positive review from Rose Martelli in early 2005, and the RFT twice named it Best Italian Restaurant (Cheap): 2005 and 2008.
