#99: Pretzel Bites at Joey B's on the Hill

​You can't see the butter in the photo I took. Believe me, though, it's there, a pool of melted gold slicking each soft bite of baked pretzel with a hint of sweetness. Swirl the pretzel in the jalapeño cheese dip (or maybe that's "cheese" dip -- I don't know whether that cheese is real and, frankly, I don't care), and the pretzels now have a double layer of unctuous fat and a mildly spicy kick.

Is there a more over-the-top bar snack in St. Louis? Without doubt. Is there a better bar snack? I'm still looking.
