Local Musicians Finalists in Folgers Jingle Contest
For 25 years we've been hearing that the best part of waking up is Folgers in your cup, with plenty of lyric variations and hazy-morning shots to inspire morning motivation.
To celebrate the anniversary of the slogan, Folgers has turned to the internet to find its next version of the jingle. And now comes word that among the top ten submissions is one from Larry Snyder, Sally Snyder and Rachel Kempf of Washington, Missouri.
The trio offers a proper Ozark bluegrass stomp on a hazy Washington morning.
Winners will be chosen by voting on Folgers' website. The Synders and Kempf could win $25,000, a trip to New York City and the possibility of performing their jingle in a national Folgers commercial.
If they do, perhaps they'll give a shout-out to their fellow Missourians who will lose their jobs as the Kansas City Folgers factory closes.
