Kellie White of Kirkwood en route to a category win at the Pillsbury Bake-Off. Today she'll learn if she won a cool $1 million.
Love watching the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat? Tune in to The Oprah Winfrey Show today (4 p.m. CDT on KSDK-TV Channel 5) to see Kellie White of Kirkwood learn her fate in the 44th annual Pillsbury Bake-Off.

The Bake-Off narrowed down the field earlier this week, picking finalists in four categories: Breakfast and Brunches, Entertaining Appetizers, Dinner Made Easy and Sweet Treats.

White won the Dinner Made Easy category during competition in Orlando, Florida, with her recipe for Zesty Lime-Fish Tacos.

Eligible recipes must use at least two products made by Pillsbury, chosen from two categories. The first category includes flour and refrigerated and frozen bread doughs. The second covers products that don't necessarily scream "dough boy": Green Giant frozen veggies, Jif peanut butter, Smucker's products, Crisco, Eagle Brand milk, Eggland's Best eggs, Land O' Lakes butter, Hershey's baking products and Fisher nuts.

White formed the company's refrigerated biscuit dough into rounds and pressed them in a mix of Pillsbury flour and cornmeal for the taco shells.

She won a trip to Orlando for the competition as one of 100 finalists. For winning her category, she will bring home $5,000, a GE Profile range and the glory of having been on Oprah's show.

If she wins the whole shebang, she gets a million bucks.

Even though Oprah doesn't air for another thirty minutes, we've got the winner after the jump.

Kellie White didn't win. She was nudged out by the New Jersey cook in the desserts category.
