The Wood Opening in Mapelwood

The Wood opens Friday, May 21, in Maplewood.

​My colleague Annie Zaleski reports on A to Z that the Wood opens tomorrow, Friday, May 21 Tuesday, May 25, at 2733 Sutton Avenue in Maplewood, the location previously occupied by Deluxe Fine Food & Spirits. Like Deluxe, the Wood is both a restaurant and a concert venue. Check out Annie's report for the details about music at the Wood.

The restaurant offers a modest menu of popular bar-and-grill favorites: wings, onion rings, burgers, pizza. The website promises a brunch menu coming soon. I hope they call it the Morning Wood.

Correction: (Friday, 5.21, 1:20 p.m.) The Wood will be taking part in Saturday's Taste of Maplewood event. However, the restaurant proper won't open until Tuesday, May 25. Apologies.
