International Tap House Opens in Soulard on Thursday, 6.17

​Fittingly enough, Mike Sweeney of beer blog STL Hops broke the news: International Tap House (a.k.a. iTap) will open its second location at 1711 South 9th Street on Thursday, June 17, at 9 a.m.

Why the early hour? Might it have to do with a certain global sporting competition being held several time zones ahead of our own?

Yup.

The spacious bar -- 3,500 square feet inside, 2,500 outside -- will be showing World Cup games on its hi-def TVs. iTap features more than 500 beers, including 44 on tap. This here publication last year awarded the original Chesterfield location Best Beer Selection in a Bar.
