Feast Magazine Launches

• Just seen this on the morning news... Great Magazine... I will be checking it out...

• I will say I'm a fan of both Sauce and Feast. each seem to target different markets - Sauce is more on the restaurant scene, while Feast focuses on home cooking. I think for it's first issue, Feast was well put together and will keep improving.

• I applaud the RFT's mature stance on welcoming Feast. More local publications should be so gracious (cough cough STLMAG). However, lets not forget the context in which Feast was spawned: a bitter break up, a pissed-off partner who leaves to start her own culinary mag to directly compete, a threatening of Sauce's livlihood, and putting many Lee employees on the chopping block all to stroke Neville's injured ego. I suspect, especially after seeing the first poorly put together issue, that launching her own mag isn't the thing to boost Neville at all. In fact, now that she doesn't have the work of the stellar staff at Sauce to hide behind I'm sure all of St. Louis will find Feast to be the Provel of publishing.

• I had a difficult time finding FEAST at Dierberg's..I didn't realize it was a "sister" to the Post-Dispatch, and that is where your magazine was stored, in the same unit as the Post.. So far, I'm not impressed, the magazine looks like a great big ad for Schnuck's, yikes!
