It amazes me that sparkling lemonade hasn't caught on in America. Lemon Grass' version is a lovely drink, tart and sweet, though both the tartness and sweetness are less pronounced than in conventional lemonade. The key, of course, is the carbonation. The effervescence gives the lemonade an extra lightness -- so light that for a moment you imagine you could skip right through the thick summer air.
