I've been trying to contact the owners Terry and Peggy Clanton for more details on what happened, but the phone has been busy -- fans checking in, I wager -- every time I've called. Here is a comment from Charles that was left yesterday, July 5, on the post about its being closed.
I just went by there today and saw they were open again, though Peggy was wearing a neck and back brace. She told me they had been rear-ended on highway 40 on their way to open up the store by a driver who fell asleep at the wheel.
