Mark Bittman Appearing in St. Louis Thursday, October 7

Food writer Mark Bittman will appear at St. Louis County Library Headquarters (1640 South Lindbergh Boulevard) on Thursday, October 7, at 7 p.m. Bittman is the author of "The Minimalist" column for the New York Times and such acclaimed cookbooks as How to Cook Everything, How to Cook Everything Vegetarian and The Best Recipes in the World.

Bittman's last book was Food Matters: A Guide to Conscious Eating, and his St. Louis appearance is in support of the follow-up, The Food Matters Cookbook: 500 Recipes for Conscious Eating.

The event, which will feature an on-stage interview by Charlie Brennan of KMOX, is free.
