Chinese Interests Prep for Possible Take-Over of Canada's Biggest Fertilizer Company

A consortium of state-backed Chinese companies are looking to take over the Potash Corporation, a Canadian-based company that's one of the world's largest fertilizer producers. The New York Times explains the possible implications of such a huge link in the modern food chain belonging to Chinese interests, including the fear that Potash's fertilizer, 45% of which is sold to North American farmers, could be diverted to China.
