Frito-Lay Sacks Absurdly Loud "Green" Sun Chips Bag
Over the past year or so, anyone who has tried Frito-Lay's Sun Chips in the snack's new compostable bag has had the same two thoughts.
1) Upon seeing the bag: "It's so great a major food company is doing something to help the planet. And Sun Chips are pretty tasty. I'll buy some."
2) Upon opening the bag: "OH MY GOD WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH THIS BAG? IT SOUNDS LIKE A ROCKET LAUNCH."
Looks like eardrums trump the environment. USA Today reports (via Gawker) that Frito-Lay is sacking the compostable Sun Chips bag. The company is working on an environmentally friendly replacement, but for now, it's back to the old landfill filler.
