- Evan Benn reports at Off the Menu that The Tavern is now open at 2961 Dougherty Ferry Road. The Tavern's menu (link PDF) features an enticing assortment of gastropub and upscale American comfort food fare.
- On the Sauce Magazine blog, Ligaya Figueras reports that Vito Racanelli Jr. of Onesto Pizza & Trattoria plans to open a southern Italian restaurant at 8000 Carondelet Avenue in Clayton.
- George Mahe has word on Relish of a new restaurant from Robert Trevino, owner of Amigos Cantina in Kirkwood: Bandido's Cantina will open in the old Dink's Parrish Laundry building on Olive Street in Midtown.
Finally, look for the Sultry Donut & Café to open sometime soon at 1709 South 9th Street in Soulard. According to the restaurant will feature "beautiful women dressed in scantily clad clothing." Questions of sexism aside, one hopes these women are serving, not frying, the doughnuts. More on this place to come, for sure. (Hat tip to @ericstl6 for the heads up on this place!)
