George Mahe reports on Relish that Caito's Pizzeria in Chesterfield has closed. (A spinoff location in Glendale was already shuttered.) Caito's was one of the first restaurants I reviewed for the RFT. I was especially fond of its lasagna-like deep-dish specialty, spinjuine.
Mahe also confirms what was first reported via Twitter by Evan Benn of the Post-Dispatch: The Central West End location of The Pasta House Co. has closed.
If I have my recent restaurant history right -- and please correct me if I'm wrong -- this is actually the second time that the Pasta House has closed at that exact same location (313 North Euclid Avenue). The previous iteration of the Pasta House closed in the early part of the 2000s and was replaced by a restaurant called Graffiti Global Bar & Grill.
