When Riverfront Times dubbed The Gumbo Shop "Best Approximation of New Orleans" last week, we noted that the Rock Hill restaurant is "barely big enough to contain those eating and those waiting in line to order."
It turns out the Gumbo Shop was already working to fix the (good) problem of being too popular for its size. The restaurant recently expanded into the storefront next-door to its address at 9501 Manchester Road, adding twenty seats. Haven't tried the gumbo yet? Now you have one fewer excuse.
