​It was another whammy of a week for sad restaurant news. Right on the heels of Newstead Tower Public House serving its last burger, Wapango, Teutenberg's and Riddle's Penultimate Cafe & Wine Bar have shut down as well. On the brighter side, Prime 1000 and Sir's Bar-B-Q are new on the St. Louis scene. Check out Ian's full October restaurant roll call here.

What else did we do this week?

Junk + Food went for gluten-free cookies and a lesson in dough sculpting.

Drink of the Week got nostalgic with Hansen's Creamy Root Beer.

Fight Club Sandwich got pie on its face.

Examined spaghetti tacos as a food trend.

Ian continued his 100 Favorite dishes countdown at Mama Josephine's.
